Welcome back from your well deserved holiday, We trust you all enjoyed yourselves. As there are only a few weeks left of study, this means that living costs and allowances will slowly begin to disappear. If this is the case for you, We would like to remind you about student job search situated on the University of Otago campus. In other news, OPSA have recently elected their 2007 President and vice president. Richard Mitchell, 2006 co-president, will take on the full president position with Ryan ward as his vice president. Thank to all those who voted and congratulations to those that one the AJ Hackett prizes and t-shirts.

We would also like to give a huge congratulation to those students who participated in and organised the cultural food festival and showcase. Both events were fantastic with excellent turn-outs.

And in the spirit of all things fabulous organised by OPSA, the annual ball is BACK on the 28th of October! This year it will be “The Masquerade Ball”. Esquire suit hire are offer a great deal for the night and Fairies, Wizards and Gifts have an awesome selection of masks with student discount. Other discounts will be available to ticket holders. Tickets, available from OPSA office, are only a mere $25 which includes entry, supper and entertainment. Tickets are selling fast so get in quick!

For those students who are returning or thinking of returning in 2007, OPSA would like to hear about any new services or events we can offer in 2007. Of course, this does not mean that other students can’t tell us about new services we could offer or events we could hold. If you know of a good service or event, pop into the opsa office and have a chat with the staff.
