The Nat and Dick Show

Are some people being just a little too sensitive about their religion recently? So some T.V. show rips your sacred virgin mother of God and the head of your church…so what? Shouldn’t we all just get over ourselves?

All because the club you are involved with calls itself a religion does not assure it above critique. If religions truly have the god-given right to do as they pleased free from any comment from the wider community, then Destiny Church should not have copped any comment for their boot stomping, t-shirt wearing hate march on parliament. Surely I am not the only one to see that would be wrong!

Lets us not forget that the church in question here is the Roman Catholic Church. And Catholic church-goers believe they drink and eat the body and blood of Christ every Sunday. I think that is a-little screwy and very gross and definitely not good credentials for a group of people claiming the moral high ground. Why don’t these people follow my example and live and let? I mean I don’t protest against their weird cannibalistic tendencies, why can’t they let me kick back and have a good chuckle at a T.V. show?

Having said all this, the Catholic Church is not all bad.
Good-sorts like St Patrick were Catholic’s and his feast day is coming up on the 17th of March. At OPSA (in an effort to smooth things over with the church) we are holding a St Paddy’s Day Breakfast BBQ on Friday the 17th of March starting @ 8:30am.
